Hey, just making my first "vj" videocast. Why are there only three hits when I search in itunes on vj.......strange ;)

Well beeing one of the hits I can only tell you: Good LUCK. Be also sure to check with the videoblogging community who is completely abuss these days and is a very great bunch of people. Also have a look at the vjblog (http://vjblog.prototypen.com). Its easier then it looks to produce constantly good content. And no the video blogging doesn?t work with pure eyecandy if you want to have viewers - most want content or a message or information or entertainment. Pure eycandy sites have 5 subscribers or less usually...

Also if you want to be listed on iTunes be sure to read their xml feed suggestions etc etc etc....

just checking the podcast directory again and after only 3 weeks of initial lounge the directory now reports 25 feeds with the term vjing in them... seems like its a hot interest lately...

I'm quite exited by the potential of vodcasts...but since I don't own an ipod...is it possible to have video loops playing that are separate (backdrops) to the music?

Nope, it's one "stream", audio and video. m4v.
But you just can put it full screen in itunes and play an old school cd on your stereo

I'm just into vodcast 'cause of the idea recording a whole night vj-output (incl live cams) and make a best of clip as a videocast. Why should you mix only for the moment, resample en broadcast it online ;)
Only have to figure out copyright music.. A djmix online is still allowed, but in the itunes store there must be different rules.
