UGH! is it just me... or do mashups seem like a lot of work for an illegitimate project...? have a friend write a track for you... OR pick one of the 1000's of unsigned bands and use one of their tracks... stop ripping DVDs and *create* something...

needless to say... I'm not convinced that mashups are "the next big thing" as much as ASCAP would love to collect on 2 songs every time 1 gets played....

PS. Political mashups somehow seem much more legitimate as they're commenting on something or being witty... not just finding "that cool scene" from <insert B/Hollywood film here>
