software to play dvd's

Any recommended software to play DVD's. Also does anyone know of any software which can play DVD's from different regions or is this a hardware related issue? Apologies for the dumb questions.

AFAIK there isn't any vjing software that supports dvd playback yet
for genral dvd watching i use windvd
the region thing is a hardware issue - there are ways to crack most dvd players region protection do a google search and you should find somthing
