leaving for marseille

well after many years in the big smoke of london, i am moving tomorrow to live in marsielle.

so if any french vjs from the south ( or anywhere in france ) wish to get in touch i would love to meet new people doing similar things.......

Cool Marseille rocks,

i just got back form there yesterday to spend another year in the UK. have been living between france and the uk practically my whole life.

Dang, shit bollox :mad: was just going to post a link to Dock Des Sud, its a massive multiroom venue, with tones of good events, Drum and Bass, Psy-Trance, and Hip-hop, like Marsatac in a couple of weeks with Herbaliser, Kid Koala etc.

But its just burnt down the to ground this week, the whole 5000m3 complex, which is weird cause i don't really get what there was to burn in an old empty warehouse, (guess speaker cabs are wood)

Any hoo, theres plenty of stuff to do down there, Espace Julien can have some alright stuff going down if its still open, what sort of music you into? Personally i stick more to the free party scence (w/o m16's pls ;)) though that'll die down a little over the winter

seems like you got french down pretty good, so that should'nt hold you back, you gonna be working, you got a job?

man i'm jealous, if theres one place in the world i always want to go back to its the south of france, theres sooo much to do there, its sooo beautiful, next to the sea, 2 hours from the mountians, and easy to get to neighbouring countries.

Take a look around Aix-enProvence if you get a chance thats really my home town and its kinda cool, a bit chiq or aixois as they call it, but i could just spend days in sidewalk cafes watching all the lovely ladies pass by :nod:

well when you return to visit marseille, we will have to hook up. we are renting an apartment in pharo, just overlooking catalan beach. cool location.

i'll hopefully slowly discover and immerse myself into the scene over there, but i want to get my french sorted before i really start trying to contact promoters - i can forsee lots of miscommunications... , so i have a few gigs in london that are worthwhile to fly back for (cheap easyjet!), so will be commuting back regularly....
otherwise the rest of the time i just create content to sell, so i can do that just as easy in mars. as in london...

we took a trip to aix a few weeks back whilst flat hunting in marseille - it was very nice

looking foward to it.... i will keep in touch...
