Problem with output using DVD's

Hello,
I was wondering if you could help me. I have a sony vaio NV109m laptop, Ati Radeon 7500 dual head card and a Sahara Data projetcor. I wish to project some DVD's as my laptop had a built in DVD rom but when I drag the output to my second monitor I get a blank screen. I am using winDVD to view DVD's. Just wondering if I need to change anything on the projector, or require special software to show DVD's via data projector or do I need to go and buy some hardware.

On my machine the dvd only outputs through the tv out if it is a mirror of the desktop and not an extended monitor.

try if you have more luck when disabling hardware acceleration of DVD playback.
