hi,

just saw on tv a program about a german firm, that have invented some new projectionscreens...
these things look really great!!!

these are two glass windows, and in between a very slightly sightable screen.
you can project on these things at full daylight, even put a spot on the back of the screen and you'll still see picture clearly as in the dark.

the screens are only made by request and in any size wanted.

i had not much time so i only could look through theire website a little bit -> http://www.sax3d.com/

if anyone got more info on these screens (prices, etc...) please post.

THESE THINGS LOOK FANTASIC!!!!!!

cheers

They are heavy like hell. On the Site you can only see the weight of smaller screens like:

a 1.3 M * 1 M

weighs ~ 30kg!!!!!!

Would be nice to know if they can mount it between 2 plexi glasses.

I see alot ot these screen in our city, and I have to say: They are very light, but the viewing angle is also very limited (much smaller than a TFT...)

you're sure these are the same, because as far as i know that's one special thing that they advertise, that these screens don't have any difference in the picture, no matter from which angle you're watching

also i came to know by a friend that these screens are not new at all.... already offered at www.holopro.de

not expensive....unaffordable :-)

First of many posts I hope. Been keen on VJing for years just never found a forum for tips and advise. I will tell people more about myself and what I get up to in a general chat area or feel free to PM me.

Anyway sticking to the topic looking for a Cheap projection screen for a club that I do visuals at.

I have 2 problems one is UV there is alot of it in this club, too much if you ask me, hence any material that is white glows like a police man's beacon and the other is money or should I say a lack of it. But I guess us VJ's, if I can call myself that do it for the love of it, not the money.

Can anyone help, anyone got any ideas. Anyone got a screen in their loft they can donate?

Budget ?100
Ideal size 6ft x 4ft or 8ft x 6ft
