I am an entrepreneur / musician in the Cleveland Area who is looking to integrate live VJ performance with a live band in a completely novel and striking manner.
The music I write integrates rock song form (imagine the smashing pumpkins, radiohead, the bravery, nin, muse) with the sounds of techno/trance/electronica, and it is performed by a four piece group (keys, guitar, bass, drums)
My music is unlike anything on the market, for a brief sample of a short snippet of me improvising on my keyboard, visit - www.myspace.com/blakelighttragic - enough said.
As for what I am looking for: I am searching for a VJ who shares the same musical tastes and wants to create a new form of band that will completely overpower the senses of an audience.
The ideal VJ will be someone who improvises images in real-time using MIDI keyboards or some rig of that like. The ideal VJ will also have a love of rock music and a strong desire to push music and video images to a whole new level of live integration.
NOTE: The electronica elements of the band are performed in real-time, so I expect the VJing to be done in real-time. There will be NO CANNED ELEMENTS in the final product of our band. Songs will have structure, but they must be performed live - the approach to sound is not like a DJ, but like a BAND.
If you are interested send me an email at blakelighttragic@hotmail.com
