I'm trying to develope a project based on stills crating very short (2~4sec.) clips.
Let's assume I have 4 frames and I want to create a 4sec 25fps movie from them, what's the preferred method to fuse them and have a smooth clip? Is there a way to create the ghost frames between the key ones?
I was thinking about crossfading them or just add an alpha trail or a time blur between them but, maybe, there's a better solution.
I'd prefer to stick with vegas and its plugins.

motion perfect
twixtor
wax / winmorph

allow morphing between frames - wax works as a vegas plugin

the ultimate NLE... a VJ app!
just do it live... that's how I achieve the exact effect you're describing (hopefully you got a look at some of my clips from the exchange) I use various FX... including but not limited to, Pete's feedbacky/traily one, Esotic's 4am, as well as some luma trails...

this allows me to have the clips dry (unaffected) and stucatto, or wet and smooth.

Tom and James, thanks for the tips!

James, at the time of the eXchange footage I was still on a dialup and I couldn't download much stuff. I got a broadband just a few weeks ago, too late to backup the footage on the server, unfortunately.
