would it be possible to set up at VJF or VJC a global calendar, cataloging VJ events happening worldwide, among the VJF community?

some nice features would be to browse this calendar by various criterium, including dates, country, city, musical/visual genre, venue...

it would be a great way to check out in an instant who among us is doing what, when and where...

Yes a VJ events section is planned for some time on VJCentral and would indeed be useful... Hopefully the partial open-sourcing will help to finally add this feature.

Yeah so I developed this for a client with the stipulation that I would be allowed to keep the final product but basically I've made a pretty advanced XML-based system. So far the highlights include:

Flash and HTML/DHTML versions
RSS (headlines) feeds

ex-- talk to me on IM about this, as it's pretty much ready to go.
