OMG pixy...I totally didn't notice that typo! At least I can blame it on Bishop cuz he made the flyers...shit, sorry man :( I think he was gonna make more up so I better let him know! I think we've got almost 2,000 flyers out yesterday...
I was just at the venue last night with Bishop to hand out flyers (a hip hop show) and check the place out...I think its going to be quite nice! Its got massively high ceilings and some potentially very useful balcony space...space overall is NOT going to be an issue...we are gonna sooooooooooooo rock this shit...I think this space could actually be a good canditate for "AVIT N.A." if we decided milwaukee can work...

Yea man,
I could see a part of AVit Na. being at this place...It could be one of the club events associated with the conference/workshop/promotional daytime event...What do you think?? I think the main thrust of clubs will still be in Chicago, for obvious reasons... But maybe we could break down the different genres of DJ's and defuse them across a few clubs, and the ballroom... Lucjing forward to getting up there..If possible, could you or nix print out some preflyers for AVit-Na? cool I can also bring a 25 foot by15' screen that we can conform to the balcony to fit around part of it...
PM me about the setup ideas okay lev...

yes, my name was also screwed up, it's sound.light.motion, but I'm told it'll be corrected on the new flyers as well... can't wait to jam with you folks...

Change in the plan: The event is no longer all ages - 21 & up only
I was just plotting at the venue last night and yes we are gonna rock this ballroom like it's never been rocked. This is the plan if you can try to visualize.
There will be a giant screen on stage (30ft) Pixy's stretchable... and Pixy's 3100 lumen will be across the ballroom on that one. We will have to set it up in the back instead of the balcony because there are hanging strings of lights.
Then the VJ Station will be set up in the middle toward the back slightly. The VJ Station is comprised of a circle of tables and all the projector stands in the center of the circle. Guys this is your techno-hub. It will be close enough to the DJ's to get an audio feed if anyone needs it. So there you will have 4 projectors facing screens (2 of which willl be angled in corners) and one feed to a projector under the balcony doing a rear project. WHEW! so all in all that's 6 screens on the dancefloor and we may have room for more upstairs.
Upstairs will be various types of art and installations.
So I hope your all excited!
Your's entirely (until this show is done anyway) Miss Nix
Sorry about the type-os they are now fixed and new digitals are on there way. That was 1/2 my fault and half the fault of the designer... but all is fixed now. :)

the few pics I tried to take were shit...sorry :(
hopefully nixmix will get something up soon...
it looked really cool (6 screens in main room and 1 screen/2 beamers in a "chill" room), but turnout wasn't that great...however, the venue thought what we did was quite promising and wants us to do it again...maybe even as a semi-regular thing.....
overall I think it went well (it could have been worse!) for a first attempt and only 2 weeks to promote....I think the holiday weekend thing worked to a disadvantage too....also the 21+up thing kinda fucked things up a bit...but I had FUN..
thanks to PRDF, Jim and Doug, Visual Audio for making the effort and bringing beamers! Couldn't have pulled it off without your help.
where the hell was murph? :)
