I'm looking to transpose some of my animations onto lazer shows....
Does anybody know if a program exists that can use flash, avi or 3dsm animations, and mechanicaly render them into lazer friendly images?
thanks, Ne1

I am only just beginning to realize this dream:

there are other software packages too, but I highly recommend pangolin after using others through the years. You thought VJ'ing was an expensive hobby/business? Try combining it into lasers...

Ouch expensive. A few thousand on top of the expense of 3ds and the lasers.
Pretty top end but could well be the daddy of all systems. ANd most clubs won't part with a couple of hundred quid for a VJ.:)

also check out the dot.monkey product from: http://www.laservision.com.au
failing that, I can recommend several places/people that will convert stuff for you. Industry standard pricing averages about $5 USD a frame for custom work, but if you just need conversions, I'm sure you could negotiate a hourly rate in the realm of $20 to $50 USD per hour depending on who you talk to. I could do it for you, but would prefer to recommend someone else, like my good friend LMR who needs the work more than me. His website is: http://www.laserfx.com and he is actively looking for work due to a recent mishap/new years eve show with customs "stealing" all his gear in Morocco. Touch base with him if you want at info@laserfx.com and I'm sure you'll get more info/advice than you can handle.
