I was chatting to levhed in the chatroom and he mentioned that the MX10 only sync's off 1 channel.
My question is, is thjis the same for a panasonic MX-30??
due to the limited number of inputs on a mx-30 (there are only 3)
i often find myself switching cables in order to plug in various things, usually a different live camera.
Is there any way to stop the mixer re-syncing whenever u plug in a new input? Ie. does the mx-30 sync on every channel or only on 1 or 2 of them?
Thanks...

The mx 30 syncs on both the A and B buss, so changing cables, as long as you haven't selected the source, should not be a problem. The other thing you could do is buy a cheap switch box, which you could run three cmeras into, and the output from that into one of the mx30s channels, this means you could switch cameras without unplugging anything.

hmmm that is odd.
when i change whatever is connected to the 3rd input (the live camera one) i get resyncing on the projector, even when the 3rd channel isn't selected.
but i dont think i had any problems on my preview tv monitor

if the 30's like any other panasonic the external camera input is used as an external sync source
- so when you unplug from the ext cam it reverts to frame syncronising with the one of the other inputs - thus the jummpy effect while it changes

so you're saying that the 30 produces its own sync for CH's 1/2, but if something is on CH3 (or whatever the camera one is), that it takes the sync from that one?

i'm not entirely sure what it does if there is nothing in the External Camera In (I assume it frame syncs the other two inputs like other panasonics)
however yes, if they is a signal on the "External Camera In" it will use it as a reference sync.

yes sorry I sould have specerfied that, Lev, that is eaxctly what the MX30 does, if there is nothing in the external camera input then it will sync channels one and two.
BUT the external camera input is used as sync if something is pluged into this. I should have stated the switch box should be on channel 1 or 2
hope this helps steve
