Motion Dive is a bless.
It is another kind of aproach, very simple but is not a toy at all, actually is me best kept secret.
I care less about Vidbox or Arkaos, thanx for Motion Dive is that I'm in to Vjing, I wouldn't be so tempted if I had to use any other software.

True, I used MD2 on a gig for Halloween. It's only 320*240 but I rendered some of the promotor's logos and sponsor shit in 3D and mixed it in. 320* saved me time on the last minute renders anyway. Sweet, simple, reliable. It's not a "swiss army knife" trying to do everything, it just does basic mixing and looping, and does it without hassle. It's the sort of app you can rely on and not babysit while you are doing more creative stuff elsewhere. Never crashes. Plays FLASH, too.

MD3 is great! It's the only soft i use (with some video mixers and cameras too) but it's really stable and runs ok and BEST point it is almost never crashes!!!
your subject should be MD4 - Game for children, because that's what it is! i had the chance (!!??) to try MD4 last weekend and it was a total waste of time!!!! but i think there is enough explanation in the soft reviews about that!

What do you mean Fuuuss? Have features been lost? does it not still do the MotionDive thing?

i also had a chance to play with the 4 version
it does missing some things :
* Enhanced "Action Layer"
* 3D WIPES
they will be available soon , so it says here -> http://www.digitalstage.net/en/tune.html
motion dive 3 didnt had a dual screen suport and ver.4 does that a big plus !
still all u need to do is drag and drop clips to it thats all
i still think its a toy , but a damm good vj toy .
stable and dosnt take big bits of ram .
" It's the sort of app you can rely on and not babysit while you are doing more creative stuff elsewhere. "
ur 100 % right on that holly
md could be my backup any time (once it will have the addon's :))

A english manual is officially going to be coming out from Digital Stage as well..

holly: yes it has lost some features!! but apparently they try to add that as plugins later as said by magic. but thats a shame!
they dropped all the great transitions that were on the spacebar and all the cool action layers that were on the numpad! :sad:
it's very stupid! and as far as i have seen in MD4 you could NOT use the (computer) keyboard anymore! the one i tried it on was not able to play the clips with the F1-F12 buttons on your keyboard as it was in MD3 (yes magic MD3 supports computer keyboard, try to find the translation of the manual on audioviovisualizers.com)
so for the moment i'm not quite happy with MD4, let's see if they add more plugins and how they implement the whole shit in there, and then maybe it's gonna be better than MD3, but for the moment i'll stick with MD3 :D and im quite ok with that ;)

I too was a bit disappointed about MDT, that is untill I saw the creator's of it show it at AVit Brighton...
with all the plugin's that will be available shortly, MDT will have all the functionality of MD3, plus it has a much better sound/sync function, a preview monitor, and you can set up your in and out points on each clip...
There are more new features, that you will just have to explore..
The only thing I do miss in MDT, is the computer keyboard triggering,
but as soon as they get the midi plugin going, that won't be an issue either..
