So I finally got around to this, all of pete's plugins seem to work really well! This will be one of several new improvements/features available in the next release of Salvation. If you're in the Los Angeles area, come by the LAVA tinkering session at basswerks tomorrow (Tuesday April 12) for a sneak preview.

nice work!
Let me know if you want any more salvation freeframe testing doing and I'll happily throw some of my plugins at it in debug mode to make sure everything is hunkydory.
Salvation looks like being where its at for node based visuals...

do you have to choose the freeframe params from a dropdown list? hmm.. not really nice IMHO.. fix it! :)

the new build will be released to beta testers by friday (April 12), and a time-limited shareware version should (hopefully) be ready by april 29. A few things need to come together on the business end before I can offer license codes for people interested in purchasing the fully functional no-holds-barred version, but I'd like to think there's enough time between now and April 29 to get it all together.
jaw, regarding the freeframe parameters on the plugin ui, the drop down lists are a temporary solution but will remain there until I have a full solution to the problem of displaying what can really be an unlimited # of freeframe parameters. I'll be adding 8 parameter inputs and knobs that can each be assigned to any of the ff parameters. The default assignment will be an ordered assignment so that when you load a new plugin, the listbox for param0 selects freeframe parameter 0, the listbox for param1 selects freeframe parameter 1, etc. It will limit the user to modifying 8 freeframe parameters simultaneously, and the dropdown list will help for situations where the parameters you want to tweak are, for instance, parameters 9 10 11 and 12. I haven't used freeframe enough to know what the typical # of parameters is but most I've seen use less than 8 so it should be a satisfactory solution for the first release. I just gotta figure out why it crashes sometimes :P

The majority of plugins use 4 - 8 parameters, with less than a handful taht I've seen using more than 8.
Most VJ apps support 8 or less parameters anyway, so plugins tend to be designed to be usable with 4 (for resolume) or 8(for VJamm Pro) parameters.
8 should be fine if that's what works for your interface.
