I finally got the money together and got my V4 and 2 projectors and performed my first VJ gig at a club called Larumba which hosts "lipgloss" night every friday. Also, I finished making a fiberglass mask that i've been working on for several months as part of my stage costume. The mask incorporates green lasers, four flash pots which shoot fire out of the top (they are tiny glow plug cannons which ignite a small wad of flash paper that is loaded inside), electroluminance sheets, a cooling fan, a night vision camera in the mouth which runs to an input on my V4, and tiny lcd monitors in the eyes which give the illusion to the audience that my eyes are video sceens (they are set to the side inside the mask and reflected using two-way mirrors at a 90 degree angle so that i can see out). Dissapointingly, you cannot see the monitors in the eyes from this video clip, nor was the fire captured on video. Anyhow, the gig was a blast and the crowd went crazy for me. I have been invited to perform again there on fridays starting the week after next. Here is the link to the video:
