I'm currently watching TV on a VT440K (1100 lumen) after playing a gig on it last night, not a bad unit.... prolly not quite as bright as a sony of the same lumens but quite a solid unit.

you're probably thinking of the VT450. Check it out on projectorcentral.com. I also have a VT440 and I love it, though with all the harsh conditions it's in the "2000" hour bulb lasted me about 1000 hours, and the lcd is caked with tar now, so it's slightly yellow tinted. Don't notice it unless it's next to a new projector, and then it looks kinda weird.

Just looked @ the specs, looks like a fairly average unit, nothing special...... but should do an OK job in a small space without too much lighting.

Picked it up yesterday?.its every thing I ever dreamed of and more?I was worried that the bulb would be almost dead but according to the unit it still has 97% of its life time left so its all good?sorry its my first projector so this is all very exciting?it has a sort of floating lens thing that I hadn?t come across before, basically you can reposition the actual lens with out moving the unit, a nice touch?otherwise seems fine, needs a case though, thought I might try a relatively cheap hard camera case from jessops?.
