I am in the process of creating my website (www.spinfinite.com) for a production/promotion company that will be throwing parties in New York with assorted dj's and vj's. I would like to have sample vj clips to give people an idea of what vj'ing is all about. I would be more than glad to include links for vj's info on my site in exchange for the use of the samples....

surely the best thing to do would be to include clips from the VJs you will be working with?

Otherwise, what will you do if a client says "I want that VJ" and they're based in Europe?

syz iz right-- unless you wanna spend tha big bucks to bring vjs over for the gigs... but also if ur lookin for nyc/nj/tristate talent you may wanna do a shout out in "the meeting point" or a request for vjs in "the business side" and then you'll have an avalnche of talent for your gigs and website

hi:

If you are serious about booking and featuring NYC vjs on your site, you should attend some of the VJ events around the city and speak to vjs about your site and service. You should also let VJs know what you plan to do with the content they give you. For example, if i gave out some loops for your site, but they ended up being used in a DVD or at an event, that would be pretty whack.

Some good events to check out are the Eyewash events (one coming this wednesday july 20 at Gallery - 27 st btw 5th and madison). There's also Rake, and lots of other local events posted here.
