mmh, what i will say is notvery good but we: more than 800 ? for a soft, you have to register with very personnal info ,dl a 32 mo file ,that's really too much for me ,i prefer to not to know that this soft exists as i wont try and find a crack, did you try it ?is it a good value for the price ?

if youre working with 3d studio max it is really worth a look.
you can just import your 3d-max files in plasma and have a ton of possibilities to render 2 flash.
i dont know if 800 bucks worth buying it - but if you (so i do! LOL) are a 3d fan and love the stile 3d objects flying around in that typicall flash-look - combined with DYNAMIC solutions - YES it is worth :)
but on the other hand - theres a really good render engine for 3dsmax5 available - with flash output.
so -finally - plasma is a really small version of 3dsmax -
it is the first version - entering a complete new area in grafics (first only 3d graphics and now entering the hard market from macromedia) - so often it seems that it is not well thought out. maybe 1.5 (or ver 2) would be much better.
sorry for my english

If all you want is to tranfer 3D objects into flash, you might look into Swift3D. This would be a lower cost solution, though I doubt is has nearly as many features as Plasma.

I think its some kind of revolution !
The tool makes the possibility to get nearer to 3-dimensional internet-world.
I?ve never seen something like this before because its calculating shadows and the objects looking like real 3d !
and the import-function for 3ds-max ist really good ! *YEEHAH*
but the price is to high to get a copy ...
(for me  ) ...

the real power of this app is not the flash exporter but the director/shockwave exporter. As you may know director has its own 3d engine and plasma is the best app you can use to make 3d content for it. The good thing here is that its real 3d not flat animations, and this allows for fully interactive 3d scenes.
Being able to author 3d content in the familiar (max) interface is a bonus and AFAIK its the only app that properly exports bones to shockwave 3d. You could build your Doom levels in this thing plus all your 3d characters and spaceships and whatnot and program the game in director.

ah aether, when i wrote "did you try it" ,i was talking about the soft, not the crack ,cause even if i find one i won't use it ( too easy to get a crack for an app and say look at waht i done ),i prefer use soft legally even if i can't do all what i want ,i do it without being afraid of the B.S.A

Just found a review of Swift3D 3.0 on a webmaster site I visit frequently. It seems good, but I would only use it for the web, I think that for VJing it's easier to render the animations as videos.
